The Manual
You are almost ready to start using Feedback Journey! We hope this tool will provide you with valuable insights into how you are perceived in your assignments and offer tips for improvement. Over time, we believe you will grow both professionally and personally. Even if you feel uncertain now, we're confident that you will greatly appreciate the value of this feedback. Let's get started!
The first thing you will encounter is the login window. Here, you can either sign in with a Google account or register with a username and password. If you choose the latter, you will be asked to verify your email address by clicking the link in the email you receive.
Once logged in, you will be prompted to enter some personal information. We ask for your name, and if you wish, you can upload a profile picture.
After registering your profile, we will try to link you to an organization based on your email domain. If no organization exists, you will be prompted to create one.
Registering an Organization
When registering an organization, you can provide the company name and upload a logo. This will be visible to your logged-in users. It is important to provide the Norwegian organization number, as this will be used for EHF invoicing.
Once the organization is registered, all users with email addresses from the same domain will be automatically linked to the organization. The price remains the same, regardless of the number of users!
What Does Feedback Journey Cost?
We believe that traditional pricing models based on monthly fees and the number of users are not customer-friendly enough. Different users have different needs, and you often end up paying for users who do not use the solution much. Therefore, we charge a fixed annual fee of kr. 12,000,- excluding VAT. This allows you to invite everyone in the organization without worrying about the final cost.
Creating an Evaluation
That's it! You are now ready to create an evaluation!
To make it easy for you as a consultant and your clients, the content of the evaluation is pre-filled. You just need to choose the duration of the evaluation and write an optional invitation text.
The invitation text adds a personal touch to the email your clients will receive. I usually write a bit about what I hope to achieve with the evaluation, such as the opportunity for development and that the responses will help with my continuous improvement. Of course, you are free to write your own content.
The questions asked in the evaluation are:
- How would you rate [your name]'s professional skills?
- How would you rate [your name]'s ability to share their knowledge and experience?
- How would you rate [your name]'s contribution to the work environment?
- How would you rate [your name]'s collaboration skills?
Additionally, you can provide optional written feedback and a recommendation text. These texts are meant to gather qualitative information about your work and build a list of recommendations that can be used in your marketing.
One of the goals is to ensure that it takes less than a minute to submit a response. This way, we believe we will receive more feedback; when the recipient reads the email, they can simply click the link, fill out the form, and delete the email – job well done!
Once the evaluation is created, you will be taken to the evaluation overview page. Here, you can invite clients by entering their email addresses. The more people you invite, the better the data will be, but it's important to invite people who can provide meaningful responses.
Gathering Responses
Recipients will receive an email as soon as they are invited and can respond throughout the evaluation period until the end date. You can monitor responses in real-time and read the feedback received.
It is also possible to send new invitations and extend the evaluation period.
The evaluation score is displayed as an average of the responses received. You will see an overall score as well as a score for each question. "Don't know" responses are not included in the calculation.
When the Evaluation is Complete
Once the evaluation is complete, you can no longer invite new participants, but you can add your own reflections on the responses received. Here, you can note what you have learned, which improvement points you want to address, discuss causal relationships, and add other notes if you wish. The evaluation will remain in the evaluation overview, allowing you to compare evaluations over time.
Only you can see the responses, but you can choose to share access with your entire organization or what we call supporters. These are individuals given this role by the organization owner, typically those responsible for professional development, coaches helping with personal growth, or salespeople who can use the feedback to better serve customers, achieve fairer prices, and more.
Continue the Dialogue
Although Feedback Journey efficiently gathers feedback, we do not recommend using the solution as a replacement for human contact and dialogue with clients. Instead, we believe it can enhance the quality of these conversations, allowing you to focus on constructive discussions, whether it's specific feedback received or future collaboration and development opportunities.
Set an Improvement Goal
Feedback Journey is about continuous learning and improvement. After reviewing the results of an evaluation, you can set an improvement goal. The goal can be linked to one or more feedback categories, and you can create an action plan, keep a journal, and link newer evaluations to the goal. This way, you can track progress over time through multiple evaluations and ultimately conclude whether the goal has been achieved. Then, you can set a new goal, focusing on the same categories or new ones, and repeat the process, likely achieving better and better results!
The Supporters
You can share access to evaluations and improvement goals with supporters. They can help with implementation suggestions, provide tips and guidance along the way, cheer you on, and follow up.
Supporters can read the feedback, your reflections, goals, and plans. They can also add comments and elements to the journal.
If desired, supporters can also organize evaluations on behalf of consultants, allowing you to meet clients in a coordinated manner. However, we believe the best results are achieved when consultants take responsibility for their evaluations and invite their closest colleagues. We believe this approach yields better results than having all feedback go through the immediate supervisor.
The Journey Card
After completing one or more evaluations, you can create a Journey Card. This is a publicly accessible visualization of your scores that you can share on social media, attach to your resume, or print and frame. It includes a QR code for verification. The Journey Card is meant to showcase the customer satisfaction you have achieved in previous assignments.
Besides being fun to show off your achievements this way, it can be a useful sales tool, as such external validation can be a powerful supplement to what you put on your resume.
The Journey Card includes your profile picture and company logo, if uploaded, the consultant's name, overall score across selected evaluations, average score for the four questions, total number of respondents, and the date of the last response.
The purpose of these last values is to ensure that a Journey Card with many respondents, a high score, and a recent response date is more credible than a Journey Card with few respondents and responses from years ago. In other words, we encourage continuous improvement over time and give you the opportunity to prove your results to your clients!
