Organization Goals and Statistics

The organization dashboard is the view in Feedback Journey that shows how clients rate your whole firm. It pools the scores from every survey your consultants share, and organization goals turn those numbers into a plan with a start, an end and a result.

The dashboard is part of the Organization plan. This page explains what it shows, how to look at one department, and how to set an organization goal.

What does the organization dashboard show?

The dashboard shows one total score for the whole organization, with the number of answers and surveys behind it. Below the total, it lists the four questions of each survey type, each with its average score and its number of answers.

The three survey types are long term assignments, workshops and courses, and service delivery. Read more about the survey types.

Which period do the numbers cover?

You choose the period yourself. Pick since the start, the last 12, 6 or 3 months, or set your own from and to dates, then press Update. Without a choice, the dashboard covers everything since the start.

Which surveys count in the numbers?

Surveys marked Only me never count in the organization numbers. Surveys shared with supporters, selected groups or everyone in the organization do. Answers marked Don’t know are left out of the averages.

How do you compare departments?

Pick a department in the dashboard and press Update to see the numbers for that department only. Switch to another department to compare. The first entry in the list is the whole organization, so you can always go back.

The organization owner sets this up in Settings, under Users and roles. The owner adds the departments and places each person in one department. A person can belong to one department only. The numbers for a department cover the surveys created by its people.

What is an organization goal?

An organization goal is a shared improvement goal for the whole firm. It targets chosen categories of one survey type and runs until an end date you set. A personal improvement goal starts from one survey. An organization goal starts from the results of the whole organization.

The starting point is the results from the last six months. Feedback Journey saves those scores with the goal, so the starting point stays fixed while the work goes on.

How do you set an organization goal?

Supporters and owners create organization goals. Everyone who can open the dashboard sees the goals listed there.

  1. Start from the dashboard. Choose Create improvement goal.
  2. Name the goal and choose a survey type. The options are long term assignment, workshop or course, and service delivery.
  3. Pick the categories to improve. Each category shows its score for the last six months.
  4. Set an end date. The form suggests six months.
  5. Describe the goal. Write the goal, the starting situation and the plan.

What are the three phases of an organization goal?

Organization goals follow the same three phases as personal improvement goals. The calendar moves a goal from one phase to the next, and the goal page opens on the phase it is in now.

  1. Planning, the first week. Refine the goal, the starting situation and the plan. The page shows the saved starting scores.
  2. Execution, from week two until the last week. Keep a journal. Follow the results from surveys since the goal started, shown against the starting scores.
  3. Conclusion, the last week. Write the result and say whether the goal was achieved. Supporters and owners can then start the next goal.

How do you get started?

Organization goals use the same surveys your consultants already send, so there is nothing new to collect. See what the Organization plan includes, read how improvement goals work for individuals, or see how consultant leaders use client feedback.
